Calling all sk8er bois, emo girls and former Tumblr gays! On Friday November 6th, PUNK GOES POPPIN at Marys. Straighten that fringe, smudge your eyeliner and get ready to scream your little gay heart out.
Expect pop hits with a punk twist, emo anthems and teenage bedroom favourites. From Paramore and My Chemical Romance to Fall Out Boy, Avril Lavigne and beyond, we never said it was a phase!
Our DJs will keep you dancing till late with a mix of pop punk, emo classics and queer dance-floor favourites, while the Marys Divas serve ripped fishnets, ruined eyeliner and drag shows with enough angst to concern your parents.

Entry Requirements & Dress Code
- Marys is a venue for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community & their friends
- We don't permit any hen's or bucks parties
- A valid photo ID is required (images of ID will NOT be accepted)
- Be kind, courteous and respectful at all times
- No board shorts, steel cap boots or thongs
- No open toe shoes
- No sports team paraphernalia
- No hens party paraphernalia
- No professional photography or videography equipment
- Marys is not responsible for any lost property - please utilise the coat check for your belongings
Opening Times
We open from 9pm till late every Friday & Saturday. We also open for special events and long weekends, check out our homepage for whats on.

We have a zero tolerance policy towards homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, racism & all forms of abuse. If you don't respect our home you will be asked to kindly leave.
What is acceptable ID
Please be prepared for ID checks on entry. Marys accepts the following forms of I.D. however it must be in date and in an acceptable condition.
- Australian drivers license
- Passport
- Australian issued photocard
- Australian issued proof of age
Expired I.D. and renewal forms will not be accepted.Everyone is required to supply I.D. no matter how old you are.
Guestlists & Free Entry Requests
We don't offer guestlists or free entry lists.
Are there shows?
Yes absolutely - our Mary's Divas will entertain you with 9 fabulous shows every single night. Please do not interupt the shows and be sure to show the performers love! If there is a show happening, please DO NOT jump on the stage and interfere with the show, you will be asked to leave.
Accessibility
We currently have ramp access to front bar at Mary's Poppin. Being a heritage listed building this has complications but rest assured we are doing what we can.
We have an accessible toilet at the entrance to the venue.
